Fr Epitace, YCW Burundi

We are excited to announce that the Cardijn Community Africa and the Australian Cardijn Institute, in collaboration with the International YCW, International YCS, and other Cardijn movements, will be hosting a pivotal Lay Mission and Vocation Conference in Rome from 9-13 October 2024.

This significant conference coincides with the Second Assembly of the Synod on Synodality and will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Vatican II document, Lumen Gentium. Lumen Gentium highlights the baptismal mission and “lay apostolate” of every Christian, making this conference an essential gathering to explore and celebrate the lay mission and vocation in today’s world.

To ensure a truly global representation and balanced participation from various continents, we are raising funds to sponsor the participation of Fr Epitace Nirigira, a dedicated chaplain to the YCW in Burundi. Fr Epitace’s presence will enrich the discussions with his unique perspective and experiences from Africa.
