Melbourne, Perth, Sandhurst—and More to Come!
Dear Friends,
This year, 2025, marks the centenary of Belgium’s official foundation of the Young Christian Workers (YCW) movement. It was in 1925 that Pope Pius XI offered his enthusiastic support to this powerful lay apostolate of young workers, igniting a global movement that continues to inspire today.
The International YCW and Belgian YCW commemorate this milestone with a special celebration this week in Brussels. You can read more about the international celebrations here: https://100years.joc.be
Meanwhile, in Australia, we are excited to join in, this global jubilee by celebrating the YCW Centenary with a series of Masses and Reunions nationwide. These events bring together the movement’s past and present members, chaplains, and friends to honour its legacy and look toward the future.
